Gaiurb - Urbanismo e Habitação was awarded the National Sustainability Prize for the Bairros 2030+i project, in the category of Equality, Diversity and Equity, a distinction among large organizations in the Social Area.
The award ceremony for this 5th edition of the National Sustainability Award took place on May 8th. There were a total of 91 nominations spread over ten thematic categories, grouped into the Environmental, Social and Governance areas, with a distinction between large organizations and small and medium-sized organizations.
The jury, made up of 75 experts, distinguished the projects and organizations that stood out the most in the transition to a more sustainable future in Portugal, with a total of 17 awards and nine honourable mentions.
The jury also awarded two special prizes. The Personality Award went to Jorge Moreira da Silva, for his exceptional contribution to sustainability policies, while the NGO Award honored the Oceano Azul Foundation, in the form of its CEO, Tiago Pitta e Cunha, for his exemplary work in conserving the oceans and marine biodiversity.
