Rehabilitation of Gaia Castle Public Space | Vila Nova de Gaia
The rehabilitation of Gaia Castle's public space included the replacement of water and electricity infrastructures, the introduction of rainwater drainage solutions, the elimination of obstacles to pedestrian circulation, the introduction of safer sidewalks and new lighting, as well as the creation of areas for relaxation and contemplation of the landscape and decompression in the narrow and winding urban fabric. An intervention promoted by the Municipality, with the support of the Rehabilitation Unit and the Urban Design Division of Gaiurb, EM.

Provision of Mechanical Connections at Gaia Castle | Vila Nova de Gaia
The creation of mechanical connections at Gaia Castle, between the lower and upper levels, was promoted by the Municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, with the support of Gaiurb, EM. The aim is to promote mobility in a territory with a rugged topography, not only improving the resident population's access to public transport and services located at high level, but also strengthening the connection between Gaia Castle and the surrounding city.
13th edition of the National Prize for Urban Rehabilitation
Organized by Vida Imobiliária, the National Urban Rehabilitation Award has the high patronage of the Government of Portugal, granted through Cultural Heritage, an entity supervised by the Ministry of Culture.
