The project operates in four areas: ensuring essential services such as water and electricity, assisting with repairs and minor construction work, providing basic furniture and appliances, and promoting hygiene and healthy housing.
Lar+ is aimed at families with low economic and social resources and focuses on practical intervention tailored to the needs of each household. With a dedicated team and its own budget, it has been able to provide rapid and effective responses, halting the deterioration of housing and promoting a sense of shared responsibility among residents.
Under the slogan “Take care of your home, take care of yourself,” this initiative is part of the activity plan for the Bairros 2030+i project, approved under investment RE-C03-i06.03 – “Operations in Disadvantaged Communities in the Porto Metropolitan Area,” with the support of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
